Tana’s first novel, In The Woods, spent twenty weeks on the New York Times paperback bestseller list with sales in the US now topping 1 million copies. In The Woods won the US Edgar Award for Best First Novel; the 2008 Anthony Award for Best First Novel; the Macavity Award for Best First Mystery; the Barry Award for Best First Novel and the IVCA clarion award for best fiction.
Since then she has gone on to five additional books in the Series. She is the author of New York Times and Sunday Times bestsellers, The Wych Elm and The Searcher. Her next title, The Hunter, publishes Spring 2024.
Tana French grew up in Ireland, Italy, the US and Malawi, and has lived in Dublin since 1990. She trained as an actress at Trinity College Dublin. She has worked in theatre, film and voiceover and is a member of PurpleHeart Theatre Company.
