Martina Cole


Martina Cole was born and brought up in Essex. Her first novel, Dangerous Lady, was an instant bestseller and became a highly successful TV drama series. A further three more of her novels, The Jump, The Take and The Runaway have been adapted into television dramas.

Since then Martina Cole has written twenty-three more novels set in the criminal underworld. She is consistently at the top of bestseller lists, achieving eleven straight weeks at No.1 with The Graft. The Family went straight to No.1 on the Sunday Times bestseller list and was the bestselling hardback adult fiction title of 2010.

She has more original fiction No.1s than any other author. Her sales have totalled 16 million making her the biggest selling hardback adult fiction novelist in the UK. She is sold in 31 languages.

In 2013, Martina Cole was one of only two authors inducted into the Crime Thriller of Fame. Martina was nominated for the CWA Gold Dagger 2017 and received the Nielsen Specsaver Platinum Award.

Her newest novel, No Mercy, was a No.1 Sunday Times bestseller.
