Annie Murray was born in Berkshire and read English at St John’s College, Oxford.
In 1991 she won a She/Granada TV Short Story competition and in 1992 began writing her first Birmingham novel, Birmingham Rose. This hit the Sunday Times bestseller list when it was published in 1995.
Annie has subsequently written many other bestselling novels including Chocolate Girls, War Babies and Sisters of Gold. Her sales worldwide total over 1 million.
Her 29th novel, Homecoming for the Chocolate Girls, will be released in eBook/Audio/PB on 11th April 2024.
